Siphiwo, a talented young tenor, was a long term supporter of the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund, and performed at several fundraising events both in the UK and South Africa.

His death from meningitis came as he was preparing to sing at the opening ceremony of the World Cup in just over 2 weeks' time.

"Siphiwo was a lovely young man who embodied all that the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund strives for in its work with young people - to ensure that they reach their full potential in life and make the most of their talents. We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to Siphiwo's family and friends at this very sad time" said Kathi Scott, NMCF UK's Executive Director.
