20th Jun 2014
'Mandela Trilogy' cast helped at the Deutsche Theater in Munich to raise vital funds for The Nelson Mandela Children's Fund UK from an after show collection on Friday 13th June.

From prisoner to President and from Nobel Laureate to revered statesman, Nelson Mandela is hailed across the globe as a treasured icon. The life of this great man who changed the course of South African history is a fascinating and inspiring tale, now told as an on stage cultural showpiece.

From traditional Xhosa choral music, to jazz and jive dancing of the 1950s township dance halls; from struggle songs of the 1980s, to the liberation music of the 1990s, Mandela Trilogy celebrates the vibrant variety of South African music while dramatising the defining moments that shaped Mandela's life.

The Nelson Mandela Children's Fund UK is extremely grateful for the opportunity to have held the charity collection after the performance on Friday 13th 2014 which raised an wonderful amount of € 1766,82.

We would especially like to thank Michael Williams ( Managing Director Cape Town Opera ) and Carmen Bayer ( Managing Director Deutsches Theater Munich ) for their support.
