Skills Development

NMCF is working long term to break the cycle of poverty that has such devastating consequences for the health and welfare of families and children.

Large sectors of the population are unemployed, in many cases dropping out of school to live a hand to mouth existence which may support them on a day to day basis, but offers no security or future prospects.

The Skills Development programme aims to tackle this issue by equipping young people with the right skills for work in the formal economy, or to establish their own business, and in doing so contribute to the economic future of the country.

Young people are given access to training for practical skills, support with entrepreneurial activity and, vitally, access to information about the opportunities that are available to them.
